NiBRON^® /Nickel Boron Coating

What is NiBRON^®?

NiBRON^® Nickel Boron coating is an engineered surface deposit coating, which is readily applied to a variety of metals:

• Steel
• Stainless Steel and Nickel Alloys
• Aluminum
• Cobalt Alloys
• Copper Alloys
• Titanium

It also resists fretting and galling and has nearly three times wear resistance of medium phosphorus-Electroless nickel, and twice the wear resistance of low phosphorus-Electroless nickel.  Its primary purpose is in the replacement of chrome plating.

NiBRON^® also accepts dry film lubricant. The application process minimizes any potential for hydrogen embrittlement. NiBRON^®'s unique "columnar" structure results in a more ductile deposit, permitting

Thickness for NiBRON^® can be maintained within + 100 to 200 micro inches (.0001-.0002) with a 300-3000 micro inches (.0003-.003) per side range.
